Waaagghhhh!

I'm really sorry to have to say this. I had split the April 8 trial into before and after lunch to be able to post the video transcription in context so the afternoon comments would make sense. I've been working on 45 pages of transcript all day. It's 11:15 PM. It was almost done, 26 pages in MS Word. I was squirming and had to go pee and set my laptop down. I came back and picked it up, jerking the power cord out of it... And now I only have 15 pages from the last time I saved changes. I hope to get as much done as I can after work tomorrow. If it's not posted then it should be the next day. Sorry again, Gene.

What a tease! So frustrating though, so I can empathize. You will be able to consider a book doncha know, when all is said and done.

Did your word perchance have the auto save option in use? You may find when you open word again, you have a file to "recover"

I do hope so - losing so much work certainly deserves another

I never used auto save in word before. I will check to see if default settings has it on. Hope, hope, hope. If not I have a recover lost data disc I'll try before re-typing. BIG SIGH...

I'm sure glad Word's default setting has autosave turned on! I went to another computer and looked up how to retrieve the "saved document". Glad I did. It looks like If I didn't do it right and closed word 1 more time it would have been lost. My last resort was going to be a recover lost data disc I have. I already found it just incase.
Thanx again, Liz.
Gene.

So glad you got it back - I've only used it once or twice - probably good luck that I did it right!

Now I shall go and read it all
